We provide experienced, independent workplace mediation consultants to carry out an impartial, confidential mediation for your organisation anywhere in the UK or worldwide for such disputes as:

Interpersonal differences, conflicts, difficulties in working together.
As a first stage, voluntary option for complaints made under personnel policies such as Mediation, Grievance, Equal Opportunities, Dignity at Work, Harassment or Bullying.
To help restore working relations after formal investigation has taken place, when no or insufficient evidence of guilt has been found and people need to continue to work together in a respectful, professional manner.
Conflicts or difficulties within or between teams.
Interpersonal conflicts on the Board of Directors.
Commercial, business partnerships or other.

PMR Ltd has many years of experience in carrying out workplace mediations and has acheived a success rate of over 90%. The mediation consultant will be Nora Doherty, Director of PMR Ltd, or an experienced PMR mediator.

For example, mediation can be constructively used for less serious harassment and bullying complaints: sometimes people do not want to go down the formal complaints route (which can sometimes be long drawn out and destructive to working relations) but they do want certain behaviours to change. An experienced workplace mediator can bring together both parties involved in order to faciliate communication in a safe way and to help them come up with agreements to improve the working relationship in the future.

PMR are comitted to providing highly professional and experienced Mediation consultants at reasonable cost - for disputes in your organisation throughout the UK and worldwide.

Unlike other providers, we are leading experienced mediators in the field of inter-employee relationships and the restoration of working relations. The way we arrange an independent mediation for you is very straight forward and kept to minimal cost. We will just e-mail you our day fee and mediation information, and then we arrange a mutually convenient date for the mediation.

Most mediations can be completed in one day and PMR have a high success rate over many years with nine out of ten mediations resulting in practical win/win mediation agreements.

Mediation is a voluntary process and is particularly suitable for those employees who want to resolve through a confidential mediation and who will be continuing in a working relationship. If the mediation is unsuccessful for any reason, the employee can still invoke formal procedures.
Workplace mediation is particularly good at re-establishing respectful, professional working relations. The sooner it can be set up, the more successful and constructive the outcome will be.
How long does it take?

Normally one to three days in all. For example, less complex mediations usually only take one day:

The PMR mediator will first meet with each person individually (usually around one hour or more) throughout the morning, and then (if the disputants are willing) bring each person into a face-to-face joint mediation meeting in the afternoon. The mediation meeting is structured in six steps in order to encourage constructive communication and clarification of the main issues, and help disputants to come up with mutually agreed win/win solutions as to the way forward.

These voluntary agreements are then usually written up at the end of the mediation and provide the basis for a follow-up meeting with the mediator at some point in the future in order to see how the agreements are working out.

What does it cost?

PMR's mediation consultants provide years of professional mediation experience at very reasonable cost.

You pay only for the mediation time- on a half or full day basis. We do not charge you for initial discussions, on-going telephone support or liason in setting up the mediation or our travel time in getting to your location.
